On a turned ebony base. Tribal provenance unknown. Collected in 1949. According to W.Fagg it was made for tourists.

This statuette is carved from ivory and set into a wooden base. Its provenance is unknown, but it may have originated in North Ghana. The carving style emphasises the soft features and smooth head of the woman.
