Sculpture with ridge-like hair or cap and broad shoulders, arms at the side. Rectangular base. Concave features with 3 parallel facial marks (probably male). 'Senufo style', possibly from Ivory Coast or Mali but clearly a tourist piece conforming to no known tribal style. See D0245. Collected in Sierra Leone. Lent to the University by J. Danford in 1969 and consequently purchased in 1975. |
