Apparently a gift from an Oyo Princess. Pierced at top with circular hole. Painted silver inside for conversion to lampshade. Snake and bird design, roundels, geometric/plant form banded design around rim and inscription in Yoruba; 'Child is gain', '6.8.47', 'I have joy (a name)', 'name of Princess in Oyo', 'praise name of Akee'. (Trans. by Mr Bayo Ogundijo 1994).
