Wooden purdonium (coal scuttle). Front opens from top, revealing metal insert for coal. Original shovel kept in inset at back of coal hod. Mirror mounted in back board, with small shelf above, with decorative pediment. Pediment slots on to shelf with dowels. Four castors. Brass handles to both sides. Handle at front has been replaced. Belonged to donor's grandparents who lived in Sparkhill. |
