Description:  Obverse: Bust of Narseh, bearded, with hair in plaits; crowned, with three cinquefoil elements atop crown, with korymbos above; decoration at neckline; single pellet border. Reverse: Fire altar, with two steps at base, two at top, with altar slab above; fire atop altar; to l. of fire, symbol of fravahar, to r. of fire, lettering for Merv; attendants lanking the altar, crowned, holding barsom, facing altar; single pellet border.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: MZDYSN NRŠHI MLKAN MLKA BGI MN ČTRY MN YZDN (MAZDAYASNA NARSHI MALKAN MALKA BAGI MIN CHITRY MIN YAZDAN/Mazda-worshipping Narseh, Divine King of Kings, whose seed is from the Gods). Reverse: NURA ZI NARŠHI (Fire of Narseh) MRWY (Merv)
