Description:  Obverse: Head of Carinus, wearing radiate crown and beard, cuirassed, holding spear and shield with the head of Medusa (?) on it, facing l. Reverse: Emperor, in military attire, standing facing r., holding spear in r. and globe in l.; D in field, to r.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: IMP CHRINVS.P.F.AVG (Imperator Carinus Pius Felix Augustus). Reverse: SHECVLI FELICITHS (Age of Good Fortune).

Bibliography:  RIC V 215

Notes:  In accordance with RIC, the D in the field of the reverse is a mintmark (officina) indicating Lugdunum.
