See P0188. This is a demonstration of the principle of Moon’s high-speed rotors. The coils carry alternating currents with a 90º phase shift, so producing a rotating magnetic field which spins the rotor. The circuitry to supply for these currents is not now included in the exhibit.
Notes: Apparatus developed by Prof P.B.Moon for gamma ray resonance scattering
