This single length of cloth was produced to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Methodist Church in Ghana (1835-1935). Based on a blue ground, the pattern is of floral motifs and medallions in browns, reds, yellows and greens. The two central medallions show the heads of John Wesley and Thomas Birch Freeman, the former having been an early leader in the Methodist movement, and the latter having founded the Methodist Mission in Cape Coast, Abeokuta and Lagos. It was presented to the Danford Collection by Sister Evelyn Bellamy in 1969.
