Description:  Obverse: Head of Gordian, wearing radiate crown, draped and cuirassed, facing r. Reverse: Jupiter, nude except for cloak on shoulders, standing frontally, head facing l., holding vertical sceptre in l. and thunderbolt in r. over Gordian III, togate, standing facing l. and raising r.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: IMP CΛES M ANΓ COPDIANVS AVC (Imperator Caesar Marcus Antonius Gordian Augustus). Reverse: P M TR P II COS P P (Head of the College of Priests, Tribune for the Second Time, Consul, Father of the Fatherland).
