Description:  Obverse: Head of Maximian, wearing radiate crown and beard, draped, facing r. Reverse: Jupiter, naked but cloaked, standing facing r., holding thunderbolt in r. and sceptre in l., facing Hercules, naked, standing facing l., touching thunderbolt with r. and holding club and lion-skin in l.; D in field, in between the two figures.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: IMP C VAL MAXIMIHNVS P F ΛVG (Imperator Caesar Valerius Maximian Pius Felix Augustus). Reverse: VIHTVS HVGG (To the Courage of the Two Emperors).

Bibliography:  RIC V 432 var.

Notes:  As opposed to the RIC, the two figures vary in regards to their r. hands (not clasping, but interacting with thunderbolt)
