Inscriptions:  Obverse: IMP C FVL MACRIENVS P F AVG (Imperator Caesar Fulvius Macrianus Pius Felix Augustus). Reverse: MHRTI PROPVCNHTOI (To Mars, the Defender).

Bibliography:  RIC V 10 var.

Notes:  As opposed to the RIC type, Mars holds a trophy under arm on the reverse and the * is in the field but to the r. on this coin.
