Description: Painted wooden mummiform figure. The pigment includes beige, brown, red, green, and black on a gessoed base. The figure has hair arranged with two lapets in front and wears a broad collar. Its hands protrude from its shroud to grasp what looks like a flail (proper right hand) and more open flail/ fly wisk (proper left). The front has seven horizontal bands of text, with a further three bands uninscribed. Both the flail and fly wisk and some of the hieroglyphs seem non-standard. The shabti spell is generally correct but where the name should be located, the hieroglyphs are too faint to read. Collector's Marks: small oval yellow paper label with number 592 written in ink. Cultural Significance: possible example of early imitation shabti for sale to collectors in Egypt.
Notes: The authenticity of this shabti is debated.
