Black graduation cap. The top of the cap is square in shape. There is a cream-coloured label on the inside base of the cap. Notes: This hat belonged to Violet May Warren who was a student at the University of Birmingham from c.1935 to 1940. Violet studied English and was a resident of University House. Violet was the first woman in her home area of Mow Cop, Staffordshire to attend University. She died on 4 April 2010 at the age of 93. |
