This circular shield has a central boss, wooden handle and two small crescent shaped notches on opposite sides of the perimeter. The shield's tribal provenance is uncertain, but it was collected by William Cadbury 1908.
William Cadbury donated a number of items to the University of Birmingham, collected in Angola and the Gold Coast between 1908 and 1931. It was presented to the University of Birmingham by John Cadbury in 1966.
