Rhodian black figured Siana cup of orange-red clay. Fineware. Black rim then red field to base line. On both sides, a male bearded figure wearing high boots, a short chiton and himation, leads three women in a dance. The women wear long chitons and himatia, and their hair is tied back in a bun. They move R looking L, and hold hands. Between the figures are a number of floral streamers. Between the handles is a frond in the shape of a spade. The tondo shows a lone dancing female, dressed in a long chiton and himatia. She holds a wreath in her right hand, and accompanies herself with a castanet-type object in her left hand.Colour: paint 2.5Y N2 (black), fabric 2.5YR 6/8 (light red) and 5YR 5/8 (yellowish red). Restored from fragments.
