This is a spring-driven clock with balance wheel escapement. The hand on the main dial makes 1 revolution in 1 minute, and the scale is calibrated both in seconds and in 1/100s of a minute. A small dial runs anticlockwise from 0 to 10 minutes. The dial and hands are painted with luminous paint, suggesting that the clock was intended for timing events in the dark. The button at the top re-zeros the hands and the lever at the side stops the clock There is a bell inside, but it is not clear how it is set.
Was used in the Advanced Lab (now C3).
