This white imported cotton damask tunic with sleeves is coloured with green tie-dye motifs. Tie dye is one of the favoured methods of textile production in Akan culture, which incorporates several groups within Ghanain culture, including the Ashanti people. There is gold rayon machine embroidery around collar and as edging to the pockets and cuffs. It was presented to the Danford Collection by Sister Evelyn Bellamy in 1969.
