An analog computer can be used to solve differential equations by setting up and running an electrical circuit that is designed to obey the desired equation. This instrument contains modules for setting initial conditions, summing, integrating and scaling values, with digital read-out and output for a chart recorder. Appropriate units are connected to set up the equation using by short plug-in leads.
The computer was used from 1970 to 2013 in the teaching laboratory of the Birmingham MSc course on the Physics and Technology of Nuclear Reactors.

All in wooden case with drawer containing plugs, leads etc.
