This piece has been made from three strips of cloth, each 12 cm wide, and woven on a double-heddle men's loom. The warp consists of half and half black and white stripes and the weft shows alternating bands of black and white. In addition, there are also supplementary weft-float patterns in indigo. The strap is integral to the bags design as is the flap with rolled fabric toggle and loop. It was presented to the Danford Collection by Sister Evelyn Bellamy in 1969.
