The platinum resistance element is a coil of fine wire doubled up and mounted in a silica tube. It is 35 mm long with a nominal resistance of 25 ohm at 0°C and two leads to each end. This element is mounted at the end of a second silica tube 500 mm long and 6 mm diameter that can project into the heated oven etc. The unit has a metal head leading to a long four-core cable. The thermometer is suited to use with the Resistance Thermometer Bridge P0102.
