Handwritten letter from E.C. Horrell, F.L.S. to an unknown recipient (presumably Professor Hillhouse from later correspondence). At the top of the letter in the left corner, 'Essex Education Committee, Biological Section.' is printed along with Horrell's title. In the top right corner, 'County Technical Laboratories, Chelmsford' is printed. Horrell is wanting to give away his collection of mounted British Mosses, which he calls "one of the largest and best", asks if the recipient's herbarium would want it.
