Handwritten letter from T.H. Russell to Professor Hillhouse. Russell thanks Hillhouse for his letter and for sending Mr Horrell's letter for him to see. Russell says he knows Horrell's name very well and that he has his book. The terms for the moss collection are "rediculously small" compared to what the marked value would be. He says that it would be good if there were someone who is sufficiently interested in the subject and would provide the £48 for the collection and cabinets and present them to the University. Says that he is writing to Mr. Cleminshaw and sending him Mr Horrell's letters to see.
