Handwritten letter from W. H. Wilkinson to Professor Hillhouse regarding showing a gentleman the first letter from Mr. Holmes who encouraged him to write to Holmes for his price, and he now encloses Holmes' reply. Wilkinson says that it may be best to have the University write a letter saying they would like to have the seaweeds and lichens, as then they could present these letters to "our City men" who may want to purchase and present the seaweeds and lichens to the university.
