Teddy bear with jointed legs and arms. Probably before around 1925. Mohair stuffed with wood wool. Glass eyes. Embroidered nose. Belonged to donor's grandmother. Donor's grandparents William and Florence (nee Nicholls) Dickenson were employed by Bell & Nicolson as travelling salesman for baby clothes and draper's assistant - donor occasionally wore the samples. William Dickenson started at Bell & Nicolson in 1906 at 16 and stayed till retirement in 1950s by which time he was a buyer.
