Letter to Professor Yapp from H. S. Thompson in reply to Yapp's letter dated the day prior. Thompson expects that available funds for a Herbarium assistant may not be forthcoming as soon as Yapp had hoped. Thompson understands that qualifications such as a good degree, a good general knowledge of botany, amd the ability to do some teaching perhaps would carry good weight. Says he is sending 2 letters from Prof. Hillhouse and 3 letters from Prof. West which Yapp can copy and return them, together with the obituary notice in B'ham Post, if that interests Yapp. Refers to a man who he think will make a name for himself in the future. Paperclipped together with WBHERB.HST.L.95.2 onwards.
