Geometric fineware cup of buff clay, with brown-black paint. Substantial misfire, resulting in red-brown paint colour overall, save for a portion at the base, which retains its correct shade. The foot has a raised base. Curving ‘wishbone’ handles set on the shoulder. Interior painted black. Handles painted in similar fashion to X703, only with vertical lines rather than dots on the outside edges. The body has a painted lip, then a reserved space filled with zigzags, parallel lines, vertical lines flanking running spirals, then more parallel lines before a solid band to the base. Colour: paint 2.5YR 4/6 (red); 2.5YR 3/2 (dusky red); fabric 7.5YR 6/6 (reddish yellow). Some reconstruction to the rim, but otherwise complete and in good condition.
Notes: Wishbone-handled cup, high-rimmed. Red painted series of zigzags round rim, spirals across body with row of vertical lines in between. The colour looks too orange for Attic, but the pot clearly has not been fired completely.
