Description: Obverse: Bust of Trajan, laureate, r., draped. Reverse: S - C, left and right. Victoria walking l., holding palm-branch in her l. hand and shield in her r., inscribed with SPQR.
Inscriptions: Obverse: IMP CAES NERVA TRAIAN AVG GERM P M (Emperor Caesar Nerva Trajan Augustus Germanicus, head of the principal college of priests). Reverse: TR POT COS II P P (Tribune of the people, Consul for the second time, father of the fatherland).
Bibliography: RIC II 1st ed. 402 var.
Notes: RIC 402 has the correct reverse type but the bust on this example is draped rather than bare.
