This cloth has been made from two types of warp, with the pattern striped in blue and indigo cotton cloth. Its provenance is uncertain, but it is probably Nigeria, as indicated by the colours used. It has most likely been made for the tourist market as opposed to being a traditional item of clothing. It was presented to the Danford Collection by Sister Evelyn Bellamy from the Walton Record Office in 1985.
