Description:  Obverse: Bust of Arcadius, facing r. draped, cuirassed, diademed, with spear in r. hand and shield in l. hand, surmounted by hand holding wreath. Reverse: Emperor, cuirassed, with standard with cross in r. hand and shield in l. hand, a captive in l. field.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: D N ΔRCAD IVS D T… (our lord Arcadius pious fortunate Augustus). Reverse: CLO… O MΔNORVM (glory of the Romans). Mint mark: ALE Δ (Alexandria 4).

Bibliography:  RIC IX 16 var.

Notes:  Inscription in obverse reads ARCAD IVS instead of ARCADIVS.
