Inscriptions: Obverse: CONSTHNTIVS NOB CAES (Constantius, Noble Caesar). Reverse: CENIO POP-VLI RvMΛNI (The Genius of the Roman People). In Exergue: PL Bibliography: RIC VI 53A var. Notes: Silvered. According to RIC, the PL in the exergue on the reverse and [B] in the field on the reverse are mintmarks (officina) indicating Lugdunum. As opposed to the RIC type, the mintmark is on the r. of the reverse, rather than the l. |
