Nationality:  Roman

Leo was proclaimed emperor alongside his maternal grandfather, Leo I, in 473. When Leo I died a few months later, the child Leo became the sole emperor. "He" then raised his father, Zeno, to be his co-emperor, though Leo's youth may have prevented this being his own decision. Leo himself died shortly after, and some Latin sources accuse Zeno of having murdered him. Leo was succeeded by his father.
