Levon spent several years in exile from Cilicia in Cyprus with his brother, Bemon. With the death of Gosdantin IV, however, Levon was called to be king of Cilician Armenia, which was on its last legs from Mamluk assaults. Levon and the kingdom itself was captured by the Mamluks in 1375. Levon eventually managed to secure his release, and moved to Europe, where he died in Paris in 1375. |
