Levon was the son of T'oros I and nephew of Het'oum II. Het'oum, wishing to retire to a monastery, had left the throne to Levon's father, T'oros, who was killed in a civil war between the four brothers Het'oum, T'oros, Smbat and Gosdantin. Still wishing to retire, Het'oum acted as regent for his nephew Levon until both were killed in a dispute with a Mongol general in 1307. |
