Only known through his coins, scholarship is not entirely certain which part of the name 'Wahmanaz Martan Shah Spur' are personal names, and which are titles, though Martan Shah (king of men) and Spur (lord) are known to be titles earlier, where Wahmanaz is only known later. The producer of these coins was ruling in the area around Zabulistan in the eighth century and imitating the coins of the earlier Sasanians very competently and with variant but legible multilingual scripts.
