Drusus was a competent commander of the Roman armies and was posthumously awarded the name Germanicus for his conquest of Germania. He was stepson to the Emperor Augustus, who married Drusus's mother, Livia; brother to the Emperor Tiberius, grandfather to the Emperor Caligula, father to the Emperor Claudius and great-grandfather to the Emperor Nero. He was posthumously honoured on the coins of his son, the Emperor Claudius. |
