Lucius Caesar was the son of Marcus Agrippa and Julia, the daughter and only child of Augustus. With his brother, Gaius Caesar, Lucius Caesar was made heir apparent by their grandfather, who also adopted them as sons. Lucius died in 2 AD, shortly followed by his brother, leaving Augustus with no immediate heir apparent. |
