Jovinus was declared emepror with the support of the Burgundian and Alan kings after the execution of the rebel Constantine III (the western usurper, not to be confused with the Emperor Constantine III in 641, son of Herakleios) in 411. He was able to hold power for two years before the Visigoths turned against him, captured and executed him in 413. |
