Description:  Indurated shale. Original catalogue states: " The rock (country) carrying the tin lode at adepth of 140 fathoms".
With an original printed label attached to the specimen which states: "F.H. Butler, late Talling, Natural History Dealer, 180, Brompton Road, LONDON, S.W.". This is probably the dealer from whom Samuel Allport acquired the specimen.
