Description: Original catalogue states: "Fruchtschiefer". (This is a German word/term which translates to- fruit slate due to the slaty rock containing large porphyroblasts apparently resembling grains of wheat). Also has a Lapworth Collection label attached to the specimen, and a loose specimen label stating: "JAMES R. GREGORY, Geologist, &c., 88, Charlotte St., Fitzroy Sq., London." This is the mineral/geology dealer from whom the specimen was orignally acquired.
