Description: Obverse: bust of Constantine beardless wearing crown and chlamys, holding some form of cross (cross potent?) in right hand and akakia in left. Reverse: bearded bust of Leo III facing wearing chlamys and cross crown, holding a globus cruciger in right hand.
Inscriptions: Obverse: [..]IM+ (Constantine?). Reverse: […]LE[…] (Leo).
Bibliography: Cf. DOC III.1 pl. X Constantine V AV17 or BN II pl. LXVI Leo III sy/AV/01
Notes: This type is usually attributed to Constantine V, but that he is beardless whereas Leo is bearded suggests that Leo should considered senior emperor. Whitting also made this attribution.
