Description:  Obverse: Varhran VI facing r. on frontal bust, bearded, with hair tied in a bunch over r. shoulder, earring of three pellets in triangle; six-pointed star to l. and r. of crown; crown with two bands of pearl pellets at base, with mural elements above bands, line extending from crown vertically to upturned crescent, with fireball within crescent, ribbon flowing left from line connecting crown and crescent; to r. of crown an upturned crescent; single band of pearls at neck, with one larger pellet in the centre of this band, double pearl pellet bands extending from shoulder to sternum, two pellets .. on breast; two large ribbons, l. and r. of bust, extend from behind bust out to the pellet border, and then upwards; single pellet border, three crescents without star at 90, 180 and 270 degrees. Reverse: Fire altar, hour-glass type, with three steps at base and three at top, surmounted by altar slab, ribbons l. and r. of centre, flowwing upwards; fire atop altar, represented as four rows of four pellets, three pellets, two pellets and one pellet respectively; six-pointed star l. of fire, upturned crescent r. of fire; two attendants flanking altar, facing forward, with hair in bunches above both shoulders, wearing crowns, arms lowered to waist, where both hold a sword/barsom, which extends down to feet, trousers represented by chevrons; single pellet border.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: AFZW (afzut/increase). VARAN (Varhran). Reverse: AYOKI (one). NYhHč (Nishapur).
