Description:  Obverse: Head of Septimius Severus, wearing laurel wreath and pronged-beard, facing r. Reverse: Two Victories, winged and draped, standing facing l. and r., fixing a shield to palm, at the foot of which are two captives.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: L SE...EAVS PIVS AVG (Lucius Septimius Severus Pius Augustus). Reverse: … A P XVIII COS III P P (Head of the College of Priests, Tribune for the Nineteenth Time, Consul for the Third Time, Father of the Fatherland). In Exergue: S C (Translation Disputed).
