Description: Obverse: Head of Gordian, wearing radiate crown, draped and cuirassed, facing r. Reverse: Apollo, nude to waist, seated facing l., holding branch in extended r. and resting l. elbow on lyre.
Inscriptions: Obverse: IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AV6 (Imperator Gordian Pius Felix Augustus). Reverse: P M T-R P IIII COS II P P (Head of the College of Priests, Tribune for the Fourth Time, Consul for the Second Time, Father of the Fatherland).
