Description:  Obverse: Head of Valerian, wearing radiate crown, draped and cuirassed, facing r. Reverse: Apollo, nude, standing facing l., holding laurel-branch in r. and lyre set on rock with l.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: IMP C P LIC VHLERIAIVVS AVG (Imperator Gaius Publicus Licinius Valerian Augustus). Reverse: H-POLINI COWSERVH (Apollo, the Preserver).

Bibliography:  RIC V 71 var.

Notes:  Debased silver. As opposed to the RIC type, the bust on the obverse of this coin is wearing the cuirass.
