Description:  Obverse: Shapur II, facing r. on frontal bust, bearded, hair tied in bunch over l. shoulder, earring; crown with single pellet band, mural elements, korymbos above crown; single pellet band at neckline; single pellet border. Reverse: Fire altar, with two steps at bottom, two steps at top, with altar slab; fire atop altar, with seven tongues of flame; to l. and r. of altar attendants, crowned, holding swords/barsom; to l. of fire symbol of fravahar, to r. of fire Taurus symbol; single pellet border.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: MZDYSN BGI ŠHPUHRI MLKAN MLKA (MAZDAYASNA BAGI SHAPURI MALKAN MALKA/Mazda-worshipping divine Shapur, King of Kings). Reverse: NURA ŠHPURI (Fire of Shapur)
