Description:  Obverse: Bust of Varhran II, bearded, with hair in bunch over l. shoulder; winged-crown, with korymbos above; to r. of shah, bust of queen Shabur-dukhtag, crowned with dog-headed crown, hair in two braids; both face bust of figure, facing l., crowned with eagle-crown; single pellet border. Reverse: Fire altar, with two steps at base, two at top, with altar slab above; fire atop altar; attendants flanking the altar, facing away from altar; both figures crowned and holding spears; to l. of fire, symbol of fravahar; single pellet border.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: MZDYSN BGI WRHRN MLKAN MLKA AYRAN MN ČTRY MN YZDN (MAZDAYASNA BAGI WARHRAN MALKAN MALKA AYRAN MIN CHITRY MIN YAZDAN/Mazda-worshipping divine Varhran, King of Kings of Iran, whose seed is from the gods). Reverse: NURA ZI WRHRAN (Fire of Varhran)
