Description: Obverse: Bust of Shapur I, bearded, with hair over l. shoulder; mural crown, parthian flaps, with korymbos above; single pellet border. Reverse: Fire altar, with two steps at base, two steps above, with altar slab above; fire atop altar; altar flanked by attendants, holding spears, crowned, facing away from altar; single pellet border.
Inscriptions: Obverse: MZDYSN BGI ŠHPRY MLKAN MLKA AYRAN MN ČTRY MN YZDN (MAZDAYASNA BAGI SHAPUHRI MALKAN MALKA AYRAN MIN CHITRY MIN YAZDAN/Mazda-worshipping Divine Shapur, King of Kings of Iran, whose seed is from the gods). Reverse: NURA ZI ŠHPUHRY (Fire of Shapur)
