Description:  Obverse: Head of Probus, wearing radiate crown and beard, cuirassed and wearing imperial mantle, holding sceptre surmounted by eagle, facing l. Reverse: Sol, naked but radiate, riding facing l. in quadriga, raising r. hand and holding whip in l.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: IMP PRO-BVS HVC (Imperator Probus Augustus). Reverse: SOL-I I-NVICT-O (The Invincible Sol). In Exergue: RůB

Bibliography:  RIC V 202

Notes:  In accordance with RIC, the RůB in the exergue of the reverse are mintmarks indicating Rome. RIC does not note that the figure of Sol raises r. hand, though it does note this for other types with Sol on reverse.
