Description:  Obverse: Head of Probus, wearing helmet, radiate and bearded, cuirassed, holding spear and shield, facing l. Reverse: Salus, draped, standing facing r., feeding serpent in arms; V, to l.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: VIRTVS PROBI H-VC (The Courage of Probus Augustus). Reverse: SHLVS HVC (To the Health of the Emperor). In Exergue: TXXI

Bibliography:  RIC V 500 var.

Notes:  In accordance with RIC, the TXXI in the exergue of the reverse and the V in the field of the reverse are mintmarks (officina) indicating Ticinum. However, this coin differs to the type in RIC as it does not diplay a * as a mintmark on the reverse.
