Description:  Obverse: Head of Maximian, wearing radiate crown and beard, draped and cuirassed, facing r. Reverse: Jupiter, naked but cloaked, standing facing l., holding thunderbolt in r. and sceptre in l.

Inscriptions:  Obverse: IMP MAXIMIHNVS P F HVG (Imperator Maximian Pius Felix Augustus). Reverse: IOVI CO-NSER-VAT AVGG (Jupiter, Protector of the Two Emperors). In Exergue: XXIΓ

Notes:  Traces of silvering. According to RIC, the XXIΓ in the exergue of the reverse are mintmarks indicating Rome.
